Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 15, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Placia (the “App”) handles information. Placia is developed by Yauhen Yakauleu, Belarus.
1. Information We Collect
Placia does not require an account and does not automatically collect your name, email address, postal address, phone number, or payment card information. If you contact support, we receive your email address and any information you include in your message.
The App may collect technical and usage information through AppMetrica, including app launches, session and listening duration, selected scenes and features, subscription purchase events and Premium status, app and operating system versions, device model and screen characteristics, crash reports, performance and diagnostic data, push notification delivery and interaction information, approximate location such as country or region derived from the device’s IP address, and technical identifiers generated by the analytics service.
Placia does not collect precise GPS location and does not request access to your device’s Location Services. The App also does not request access to your microphone, photos, contacts, or camera.
2. Information Stored on Your Device
Preferences, favorites, listening history, selected scenes, and audio settings may be stored locally on your device. This information is not uploaded to our own servers and can be removed by deleting the App. Related usage events may be sent to AppMetrica as described above.
3. Analytics and Diagnostics
Placia uses AppMetrica, provided by Yandex, to understand usage, measure performance, identify errors, and improve the App. AppMetrica may process technical device information, usage and purchase events, diagnostics, push tokens, notification interaction data, and an approximate country or region derived from the device’s IP address on our behalf. Analytics are collected by default. Placia does not use the Apple advertising identifier (IDFA), does not track you across apps or websites owned by other companies, and does not use AppMetrica data for targeted advertising. Placia does not sell personal information. See the Yandex Privacy Policy.
4. Push Notifications
If you enable notifications, Placia may use Apple Push Notification Service and AppMetrica Push. A technical push token may be processed for this purpose. You can disable notifications in your device settings.
5. Purchases and Subscriptions
Premium subscriptions are processed by Apple through the App Store. Placia does not receive or store payment card or banking information. The App receives only information needed to determine subscription status and provide Premium features.
6. How We Use Information
Information is used to operate the App, provide features, verify Premium access, understand usage, deliver notifications, diagnose problems, and improve Placia.
7. Sharing of Information
Information is shared only with Apple for App Store purchases and push notifications, and with AppMetrica/Yandex for analytics, diagnostics, approximate regional analytics, and push notifications. We do not sell personal information or share it for targeted advertising.
8. Data Retention and Deletion
Local information remains on your device until you remove it or delete the App. Information processed through AppMetrica is retained while the service is used and as necessary to provide its functionality, subject to AppMetrica’s retention and deletion practices.
Support correspondence is stored in Proton Mail as long as necessary to respond to and resolve your request and may be retained when reasonably necessary for support history, security, or legal compliance.
You may request deletion of analytics data associated with your device and identifiable information associated with a support request by contacting placia.support@proton.me. We will process the request where the data can be identified and deletion is technically possible.
9. Children’s Privacy
Placia is intended for a general audience and is not specifically directed to children under 13. The App does not require an account and does not knowingly request directly identifying information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through a support request, contact us so we can delete it.
10. Your Choices
You can disable push notifications in device settings, remove local information by deleting the App, and contact us regarding analytics data associated with your device or identifiable information associated with a support request.
11. Changes
We may update this policy when Placia’s features, service providers, or data practices change. The updated version will appear here with a revised date before materially different collection begins.
